Multi-pump pneumatic. Single shot (pellet). Bolt action. 4x scope included.
The AM77 is the same as the Crosman 2100. As stated before some lube could have fixed it if it was just a dried pump cup.
If it was a bad outer 'O' ring, sometimes you would hear sloshing noises from the lube coming from the pump tube. If you could hear an air leak coming from the breach, this would indicate a leak in the valve from one of the internal parts. If it wasn't leaking air, do you know if it was dumping all the air? To do this, re-cock and shoot without pumping and listen for another weaker shot. The way you get into the pump tube is to use a roll pin punch to punch out the roll pin on the front of the pump tube that holds the pump linkage together. Everything should come out that end but make sure not to nick any seals.
The way you prevent this is to slowly remove the linkage with the pump cup and then LIGHTLY run a stick rolled with some 800 grit sand paper over the sharp edges of the tube. These guns should shoot harder than a stock m417.
Get an older metal pump piston form an older 2100. If your gun isn't dumping all the air, get a stronger hammer spring. (mine wasn't).
If you're not using BBs, you can make an extended probe with an 'O' ring. Stabilize the barrel rear with a spacer that fits the shroud. Shrink tube the barrel to the transfer port. Download extreme bass test zippy. Some people go as far as to change out the barrel completely with a turned down 7 16 barrel.
If you have the expertise, skills, and tools, you probably could do some crazy things to get more power out of this gun but the previous things I mentioned are the easiest. The steel piston won't always give ya enough clearance.you end up compressing the pump cup. Easiest way to stabilize the barrel and seal it is to wrap plumbers tape around both ends. Do not waste you money buying a stabilizer.the Id. Is too large and you will end up using plumbers tape. Forget an o-ring on the probe.no room for it.to extend the probe (no cost mod) Open the breech.using small thin needle nose pliers 'gently and slowly' pry the metal tip of the bolt forward.
Note there are two small holes in the bolt just behind the tip.Look for them.' Look' when you can see through them you have gone far enough.
