Before I ask about anything, I just want to say thanks to holotech for really good software (eventhough I know some are having troubles) Now. I know facerig will allow you to import a custom created character into facerig (along with its own textures, etc) So I have a few questions regarding this. Firstly, is this feature implemented yet? If not when will it be and if it is, how do you import? Then I understand that certain face weights and probably a facial skeleton rig within blender/maya/max would be needed. Is there a guide for such a skeletal face rig or is there going to be one?
I want to create my own characters (my own avatars) and I have the modeling skills for it. It's just that rigging will require more information.
I mean if we are to import, are we using the bones to animate the parts of the face (for instance, a chin bone that goes up or down to lift or lower the chin), or if it will need to be animated (and thereby when exported as fbx or collada have these animations 'play' as the different parts are being tracked) or if blendshapes are needed. Then the names of the bones or animations or blendshapes (whichever necessary) to be used for each. Just knowing what sort of animation/constraint should be used and how these things need to be named will already help leaps and bounds.
